Hello there Crew of Robinetta,
Over recent weeks or months I've been reading your blog & both ebooks describing your sailing exploits. I have been reading other sailing blogs as well as professionally published sailing literature & I must say your blog is among the best reading I've done.

I had only rated your ebooks 4/5 because I wanted to read about you deep water sailing rather than "just coastal" & now I see you've sailed the Irish Sea. Bravo Robinetta! 5/5 x 2.

I have just bought a decrepit GRP Folkboat needing lots of work, & I hope to follow in your tracks so to speak; coastal sailing in between repairs & modifications. Good experience-building under sail. I have a pre-teen son as my crew & in many ways this is a comeback to sailing for me, having done coastal sailing in the years BC (before children). Alas my partner is not into sailing, so I envy you both being able to enjoy & share "the load" & the satisfaction of this wonderfully challenging past-time we undertake.

Meanwhile I will keep reading & urging you on. Fair winds, Terry.

Hi Terry. Thanks for your kind words. We haven't actually crossed the Irish Sea yet - next year! We did do the Sea of the Hebrides and The Minch but you won't hear about Robinetta venturing more than a weather forecast from land. We need a different boat for that.
