Paperbacks

Most years since 2013 Alison has edited the blog posts together to create a curated and corrected "book of the year". These contain many of the pictures from the blog and a more consistent prose style than the original.

Recently Alison has been working on producing print versions of the various volumes. The cost of these is much higher than the electronic versions. However these volumes also include maps to help readers follow Robinetta's routes and identify the places we visit.

"Robinetta : her five year mission" is only available in black and white. We made this decision to keep the price down, and as the photography was not of the same quality as in the later volumes, you aren't losing too much. There are still some photographs, in black and white, and there are maps throughout the volume to show the cruising ground covered which are not available in the electronic version. The rest of the books are in full colour, with many photographs and maps, so the price is higher.

Currently available in print, from Amazon only are:

Robinetta; her five year mission £4.99 (black and white)

Gales Every Weekend:  £8.99.

Day Sailing Round Ireland: Fair Winds and Calm Seas . £15.99.

Sails and Sounds* £9.99.

*  this is a new title for 'A strait, some Sounds and a Sea', as it proved impossible to lay out a good book cover with the longer title! The content is slightly, but not significantly altered.

All books available at the equivalent $ prices in the US.

Hello, we met this summer when I was sailing on my husband's wooden boat, Suzelle, in Flowerdale and Mallaig. I am the Secretary of Kip Cruising Club and wondered if you would be able to take part in one of our 7pm online zoom sessions about day sailing round Ireland (by the way I have just bought the kindle edition!)? It would be about 30 mins presentation and 30 mins Q and A. It would be free to join and advertised to Kip Cruising Club, Royal Gourock Yacht Club and Sailing Cruising Scotland. What do you think? Best wishes Fiona Balloch (boat= Dingle). Contact: kipcruisingclub@gmail.com
